Privacy policy
Effective from 2026-10-26. We try to collect as little data as possible, and we state clearly which data goes where.

1. Who is responsible
The site https://pickyourtoolai.com is operated by PickYourTool (an individual) in Việt Nam. For questions about personal data: collab.pickyourtool@gmail.com.

We do not require you to register an account, and we do not collect phone numbers, ID numbers or payment data. Please do not put your own or other people's personal information in review text.
3. Anonymous reviews
Reviews are submitted without signing in. The text you write, your star rating and nickname are shown publicly. We do not actively collect real names or emails for reviews. To prevent spam, the site uses technical measures such as a hidden anti-bot field, a limit on how often you can submit, and a note in your browser that you have already reviewed that tool. When the shared reviews feature is switched on, review data is stored in the Supabase database service. If it is not switched on, reviews are saved only in your browser and are not shown to anyone else.
To remove your review: email us with the tool name and an excerpt of the review. Because reviews are anonymous, we may need you to prove you are the author, for example by stating the exact content and when you submitted it.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
- Necessary/functional: remember language, theme and saved tools (localStorage).
- Analytics: Google Analytics measures aggregate traffic.
- Advertising: Google AdSense and Google's advertising partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalized ads in Google Ad Settings and learn how Google uses data at Google's policies.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; some features may work less well. At the moment the site does not load analytics or advertising cookies. Before we switch on Google Analytics or ads, we will show a cookie consent banner (CMP) to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and will load these cookies only after you consent.
5. Third-party services
While you use the site, your browser may connect to:
- Google Fonts (font loading)
- Google Analytics and Google AdSense
- Supabase (storing and reading reviews, when the shared reviews feature is switched on)
- The official websites of the AI tools you click on. Their policies then apply, not ours.
Some links are affiliate links. The provider may set cookies to record that you came from PickYourTool.
6. Legal basis and retention
We process data on the basis of your consent (analytics cookies, personalized ads, submitting reviews), or our legitimate interest in running the site and protecting it from spam. Review data is kept until you ask us to delete it or we remove content that breaks the rules. Contact emails are kept no longer than 24 months after the last exchange, unless the law requires longer.
Because we use international providers, data may be processed outside Vietnam. We only choose providers with suitable security commitments.
7. Your rights
Under Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law (in effect from 1 January 2026) and its guiding regulations, and under the GDPR/UK GDPR if you are in those regions, you may: be informed about how your data is processed, give or withdraw consent, access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to processing, and complain to the competent authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before.

8. Children
The site is not aimed at people under 16 and we do not knowingly collect children's data. If you think your child has sent us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use HTTPS connections, restrict database access (users may only submit and read approved reviews) and store only the data we need. No system is completely secure; if an incident affects your data, we will notify you as required.
10. Changes to this policy
When the policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page. Important changes will be stated clearly on the site.
